Will work independently as well as in a team environment on ongoing precision agriculture related projects. Duties included but not limited to sensing systems development, field testing, preparing reports and peer-reviewed publications of pertinent data. Assisting graduate students in their research as needed.
PhD in Agricultural Engineering or a related Field with a major focus on crop sensing technologies development and field testing.
Demonstrated experience in proximal and low altitude remote sensing systems integration.
Demonstrated experience with develop/deployment of wireless sensor networks.
Demonstrated experience with data logging and monitoring aspects.
Demonstrated experience with experimental design and data analysis skills.
Demonstrated experience of individual initiative in research and pertinent publications in peer-reviewed journals.
Experience with Embedded systems for sensors integration and wireless data transfer technologies.
Experience with Matlab Toolboxes, SAS, or similar software packages.
