This position serves as the principal financial officer for the Carson College of Business. Serves as the principal consultant and adviser to the Dean of the College and provides information and decision support on financial, strategic, and managerial issues. Duties include planning, advising, and monitoring the allocation and usage of financial resources; leading in the establishment and implementation of short and long-range financial goals and objectives; and strategic planning initiatives. Serves as liaison to central administration on all financial issues. Also provides leadership and direction for all financial management, processes, and grant administration in the College.
Positions require a Bachelor’s degree in a related administrative, business, liberal arts, or social sciences discipline and five (5) years experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified, which has included at least one (1) year of supervisory experience. A Master’s degree in a related field may be substituted for up to one (1) year of the required experience. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
Five (5) years of progressively responsible budget/finance experience in a complex
Working experience in accounting practices and procedures, cash handling, budgeting, and financial analysis.
Working experience with financial coordination between multiple entities within a larger institution.
Demonstrated experience in business operations such as cost analysis, grants and
contracts, payroll, personnel, purchasing, travel, space allocation, and/or student accounts and fund accounting.
