The Department of Anesthesiology at the University of Florida is recruiting for a non-tenure earning assistant/associate/full professor position to provide primary and consultant statistical support to Departmental faculty and staff. Incumbent will be expected to develop regular seminars to review statistical concepts and methods that are used in randomized controlled and observational health studies; organize journal club meetings to review design and statistical analyses used in good medical research papers; teach medical students and residents basic information about statistics to achieve success on relevant testing; work with the education office to maintain statistical assessment of evaluations. A long term goal for this position is to develop a formal course that focuses on statistical analysis methods in medical research.
