Detailed Job Description

The WSU Carson College of Business Development Team seeks a Development Coordinator to work collaboratively with various units within the Carson College, WSU Foundation office and internal/external constituencies throughout the WSU Campus and the State of Washington. The successful incumbent will positively represent the Carson College and hold responsibilities that will impact the alumni, supporters, students, faculty and college leaders in areas of external outreach, board relations, event management and sponsorship, annual giving and reporting.

This recruitment will be use to fill two vacancies.

Required Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree and two (2) years of experience, which includes six (6) months of full-time experience in marketing, gift solicitation or public contact work with evidence of ability to work collaboratively, communicate effectively orally and in writing and organize and execute assignments. A Master’s degree in a relevant field may be substituted for up to one (1) year of the required experience. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.

Preferred Qualifications

Must have, or be able to obtain by time of hire, a valid driver’s license.

Experience in higher education fundraising.

Experience working in advancement in higher education.
