E-Learning Project Specialist to work independently on assigned e-learning initiative projects.

Duties

Tasks include but are not limited to:

  • Collaborate with e-learning staff to create and revise technical standards and procedures for online course development and instruction.
  • Perform online and institutional research to aggregate data into final reports to be used in the ongoing accreditation, compliance, and initiative expansion.
  • Analyze, design, and develop instructional materials for existing and new initiatives in accordance with standards and specifications required for online pedagogical best practices.
  • Produce technical written projects that are clear, concise, appropriately detailed, and understandable by diverse audiences of faculty and staff. Utilizes proper grammar, punctuation, spelling, and follows language rules. Ensures consistent application of styles and established layout plans. Ensures technical information is accurate.
  • Design, develop, and review practice items, video lessons, and assessments that present concepts in a visual and creative way through technology tools.
  • Continuing professional growth and development
  • Assisting with special projects
  • Fulfilling other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; two years’ experience in teaching;
  • Considerable computer skills are required;
  • Effective communication and technical writing skills are essential
  • Experience in technical writing, authoring curriculum, technical guides, or online content.
  • Experience in utilizing adult education concepts/techniques to present technical information in a clear and concise manner to optimize learning
  • Experience managing technical projects to meet established objectives and timelines.
  • Experience developing and delivering Train-the-Trainer courses. 

This position requires a person to work independently on assigned e-learning initiative projects. A knowledge of emerging technologies and curriculum development and ability to produce professional technical guides, procedures, and tutorials. Person must have technical experience with the following: Survey Software, Google, Learning Management Systems (Canvas preferred), web design authoring, word processing and spreadsheets. Strong organization skills with emphasis on being conscientious and detail-oriented. Demonstrate ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work with minimal supervision in a team environment to meet project deadlines. Preferred Qualifications

Master's Degree from an accredited college or university; five years’ experience in teaching or working in online learning.
