Dean, Health Career Programs Harper College is currently seeking applicants for the position of Dean, Health Career Programs. The Dean is responsible for leading and administering the instructional and support service programs of the Health Career Division. The Dean will supervise all aspects of the division including Harper's dental hygiene clinic and the simulated hospital. The Director of Nursing will report directly to the Dean. The successful candidate will have the ability to create and support new health career programs, innovative scheduling strategies and academic delivery methods to meet the needs of students. You will support the integration of credit and non-credit health career programs and be responsible for outreach to area employers resulting in opportunities for clinical sites and development and maintenance of relevant health programs. Your responsibilities will also include hiring, mentoring and evaluating division faculty and staff; developing and staffing a course schedule based on student needs; and developing and monitoring a division budget.
Master's degree in Higher Education/Community College Administration, or a health field required; doctorate preferred.
Successful, collegiate-level teaching experience.
Progressively more responsible experience in an administrative capacity within an academic environment or appropriate instructional setting
The ideal candidate will have experience administering one or more health career programs at a college or university.
