Full-time laboratory technician in the Tomoyasu lab at Miami University, Oxford, Ohio. Our lab studies molecular mechanisms underlying morphological evolution using insects as a model system.
Essential duties for this position include performing routine molecular biology procedures in the lab, performing histological procedures using insect tissues, and maintaining insect stocks.
Require: B.S. in Biology or related field, and have strong technical skills in molecular and developmental biology.
For this position, Miami University will not sponsor applicants for H-1B work status.
Prefer: M.S. degree in Biology (or related field); prior experience in insect genetics.
One year-appointment with potential for renewal for up to three years dependent upon performance and funding.
