Berklee College of Music has been the world’s premier institution for the study of contemporary music for seventy years. The Technology Resource Department is looking for an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Application Developer II to support the analysis, design, and implementation of software specifications and translate specifications into programming code, troubleshoot existing code, debug programs, prepare software tests, and produce program documentation. This individual will develop system logic to achieve optimum throughput. Prepares and conducts system and programming tests.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Troubleshoot and resolve ERP software problems.
Analyze customer business requirements in order to provide the most effective, efficient solution using the available software and hardware tools; avoiding customizations where possible.
Produce programmatic code that meets client needs expressed in project plans.
Design, test and implement and document software solutions to meet the ever-changing and growing demands of the university, including maintenance of current customized and delivered code.
Maintain a high level of communication with internal and external teams, providing realistic deliverable deadlines and prompt feedback.
Participate in the maintenance of stable development, quality assurance, stage and production environments using best practice techniques.
Continuously look for ways to improve effectiveness and efficiency allowing us to provide a higher quality product in less time.
Identify untapped functionality within our ERP system and apply this functionality to either eliminate existing customizations or address new enhancement requests.
Maintain continuous professional growth and development through a series of actions, including reading technical, professional, and marketing literature, attending workshops, seminars and demonstrations, collaborating with vendors, manufacturers, and colleagues, and engaging in hands-on experiences with a variety of technologies.

A Bachelor Degree from an accredited college or university. A degree in computer science is preferred, but not mandatory.
3-5 years of related experience developing ERP software applications and/or higher ed.
Knowledge in Higher Education and Ellucian Colleague environment a plus.
SQL, C#, ASP.NET, Visual Studio, WebAPI and Colleague Studio knowledge.
Knowledge of software development life cycles and methodologies.
Experience with developing requirements for ERP application development.
