The Lab Instructor is responsible for establishing laboratory experiments and lab instruction in support of the mechanical engineering curriculum. Primary courses supported include ME306-Thermal and Fluids Laboratory, ME401-Mechatronics, and ME406-Experimental Design (for more details see: http://www.mme.wsu.edu/academics/me_courses.html).
Duties include but are not limited to establishing, maintaining and documenting lab policy, operations, and procedures, ensuring lab regulatory and safety compliance, and maintaining and repairing lab equipment and tools and conducting select lab instructions.
Earned Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with significant engineering and lab experience is required
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and commitment to collaborate with diverse internal and external groups
Earned Master’s degree in Engineering or a closely related field is preferred
Previous lab instruction, instrumentation and measurement experience is preferred
This position is located in Everett, Washington.
