Job Summary

Primary responsibility to develop, implement and maintain the web pages that utilize database connections which allow our end user community to easily interface and use the systems they rely on to perform their job functions. This includes both reporting and bi-directional interfaces to existing applications such as Banner, Oracle, and various other database or program platforms. Convert existing applications from legacy platforms (ColdFusion and IIS) to the more standard open source platforms (PHP and Apache servers in a Twitter Bootstrap framework). Utilize code source repositories and code maintenance practices to ensure revision control and proper documentation of code development work (Git). Maintain database connections, views, and queries necessary to support web development efforts. Adhere to standardized practices within the group to ensure development of compatible, scalable and supportable code. Assist with maintenance and development of web applications written in Oracle Applications Express.  

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent course work and experience.  

Preferred Qualifications

Specific technical skills required included basic knowledge of databases, Apache web applications servers, SQL, JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, Git, and PHP. Experience with Oracle Applications Express is helpful.
