Under minimal direction, participate in an agile team responsible for the development and support ETL (Export, Transform, Load) and supporting applications. Work effectively with the team and be accountable to the team.
Participate in cross-functional, major systems projects. Coordinate moderately sized projects. Maintain project status reports. Develop written technical project proposals. Gather, document and analyze requirements and develop specifications for complete systems and applications using agile techniques.
Design, develop, modify, test and implement computer applications using agile techniques. This includes the appropriate design and use of error handling, logging, APIs, code reuse, etc.
Participate in change management procedures; provide input and/or participate in the Change Advisory Board.
Document test plans and execute a variety of testing methods; coordinate automation with QA when possible.
Provide support and problem resolution of computer applications and systems.
Coordinate support with other IT Services areas and other campus units.
Provide formal and informal demonstrations and training on a variety of computer application related topics to IT Services and to clients.
Provide and maintain documentation on computer applications.

Bachelor's degree earned by date of hire and 4 years relevant experience.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Knowledge of dimensional modeling techniques and concepts with a focus on Kimball's modeling techniques.
Demonstrated experience developing change data capture processes.
Demonstrated experience developing slowly changing dimension loads and updates.
Demonstrated experience in Data Profiling.
Demonstrated experience in performing Data Quality and Validation activities.
Demonstrated experience in addressing ETL performance issues, especially using partitioning, indexing, parallelism.
Experience designing, developing and supporting ETL applications using Oracle and its related tools, such as Oracle Warehouse Builder, Oracle Data Integrator, and PL/SQL.
Knowledge of web services (REST or SOA).
Demonstrated experience with application design, development and support in Linux, Windows, or SaaS environments
Working knowledge of desktop operating systems.
Experience participating in Agile teams using Scrum and/or Kanban.
Knowledge of Java, Grails, or related languages.
Knowledge of PHP, Perl, or similar languages.
Demonstrated experience designing, consuming, and creating XML and/or JSON data.
Demonstrated experience developing shell scripts.
Experience developing and testing web applications for accessibility (ADA) compliance.
Experience using source code management systems (CVS, SVN, Git, etc.).
Demonstrated good verbal and written communication skills; including communicating with technical and non-technical clients, and with clients and staff at all organizational levels.
Developing, executing, and automating test plans.

Demonstrated ability to prioritize projects and work on multiple projects concurrently.
Demonstrated experience with requirements gathering, analysis, and design for applications or moderately complex systems.
