Job Summary

The Director of Student Diversity Programs provides leadership and administrative direction for the planning, organization, and implementation of co-curricular student diversity programs on campus. In collaboration with Academic Affairs, the Director develops and coordinates student diversity program initiatives that bridge in-classroom and out-of-classroom learning. The DSDP develops and ensures program opportunities that meet the needs of students of various races, ethnicities, sexual orientations, gender identities and expressions, socio-economic classes, religious and spiritual traditions, ages and abilities.

Candidate should have a demonstrated knowledge and experience with diversity education and intercultural competency program design, organization and implementation. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of student development of traditional-age college students with the ability to form strong advising, mentoring, and working relationships with students of diverse backgrounds. Budget management, program assessment, and reporting skills. Strong knowledge and appreciation of diversity and a sincere commitment to social justice and equality. Attentiveness to broad vision as well as administrative (task) detail. Maintain professional qualification through ongoing training and professional development.

Minimum Qualifications

A Master's Degree with a combination of 5 or more years experience in student diversity programs.  

Preferred Qualifications

Doctorate degree in a related field preferred with comparable experience.
