Reporting to the Director of the Berklee Fund, the Phonathon Manager will play an integral role in the expansion of the annual giving program of Berklee College of Music. The Manager will work with the Director to develop, implement, and evaluate strategies designed to achieve the College’s goals for the Berklee Fund by overseeing the phonathon program, consisting of the hiring and managing of 20+ student callers and student supervisors.
Manages all aspects of the Berklee Fund phonathon program.
Hires, trains, evaluates, and manages student callers and student supervisors to expand the outreach and communications to alumni, parents, and friends and increase participation in the Berklee Fund. This includes working with the office of scholarship and student employment to complete paperwork, handle all internal logistical arrangements, create and update appropriate scripts, build lists for calling shifts, and tabulate results on a daily basis.
Trains student supervisors to conduct quality control of student calls during the phonathon; provide feedback and training to ensure successful caller performance. Plans nightly calling sessions, motivates callers through developing and supervising ongoing promotions. Plans team-building activities and ongoing training programs.
Generates statistical information and comparative reports which allows for the evaluation of the progress and success of the phonathon; monitors expenses, achieves goals set for the subsequent year, develops and manages strategies for an effective phonathon program, works to overall advance Berklee’s phonathon program and thus advances the Berklee Fund.
Oversees the Berklee thank-a-thon program that will call 2,500 constituents.
Uses industry research and data collection to enact best practices for the phonathon program.
Works with the Office of Alumni Affairs and other offices to increase select event attendance and coordinate efforts to promote the Berklee Fund.
Performs all aspects of pledge fulfillment. This includes email and mailed pledge reminders and the management of student caller-to-donor communications.
Devises and implement strategies for calling pools, scripts, and other duties necessary to the success of the phonathon program.
Participates on the Advancement Team by attending regular meetings and strategizing on prospect cultivation, coordination and management.

Note: Some evening work required.

A minimum of two years of professional experience in higher education annual fund or non-profit annual fundraising showing increasing level of responsibility; phonathon experience strongly preferred.
Strong computer and information management skills preferred;
Experience working with CampusCall preferred;
