The Department of Management and Information Systems (M&IS) at Kent State University seeks qualified candidates to apply for a Tenure-Track position at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor beginning Fall 2017. The M&IS Department is collegial with strong emphasis on collaboration, and cross-disciplinary research.

The normal teaching load for new faculty is two courses per semester for the first two years, to be determined thereafter by research productivity. Research support is available for the initial two summers, subject to budget restrictions. Salary and benefits are competitive.

The ideal candidate will have a productive research portfolio, and be qualified to teach at the Undergraduate, Master’s and Doctoral levels.

For the Assistant position, candidates must have an earned Doctorate in Human Resource Management, Organizational Behavior or related field by the time of employment, with evidence of both current research accomplishments and the potential for future research accomplishments.

For the Associate position, candidates should have an earned Doctorate in Human Resource Management, Organizational Behavior or related field, with a consistent record of high-quality research accomplishments, including impactful publications as well as presentations at national or international conferences.

Candidates at both levels must provide evidence of effective teaching.

Preference will be given to qualified candidates with expertise in and willingness to teach global human resource management and/or human resource management analytics at the undergraduate level.
