The Video Project Manager / Producer works collaboratively as a member of Berklee Online’s in-house video team to track and plan the production of video and media content. This position is highly collaborative and requires strict attention to detail as well as the ability to follow approved workflows for tracking projects smoothly through conception to completion. This position works closely with all members of Berklee Online and Berklee College of Music, including video producers, editors, faculty, staff, and students, and is responsible for project, location, crew, equipment, and talent scheduling, asset tracking, maintaining shared calendars, video production equipment, and ensuring that proper workflow is followed at all stages of production using project management software and best practices for project management in a high-volume, small team environment. This position is responsible for quality control of all video projects reviewing videos for typos, encoding errors, audio glitches, etc. before being published. In addition, the Video Project Manager / Producer is responsible for helping with content creation as needed, which could include the operation of cameras, lights, audio equipment, etc.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Tracking video and media resources and content through pre-production, production, post-production, and project archive.
  • Scheduling project timelines, locations, talent, crew, and equipment.
  • Working collaboratively with video producers, editors, faculty, staff, students, etc. to take projects from conception to completion.
  • Maintaining shared calendars and equipment lists to track availability and utilization.
  • Adhering to Berklee Online’s brand and workflow guidelines.
  • Quality assurance and attention to detail in creating and reviewing work.
  • Assisting with video production and distribution as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills

Demonstrated video production expertise, including at least two years of experience in the following areas:

  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and the ability to follow approved workflows.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and follow creative direction.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and techniques as video production standards and workflows evolve.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines, prioritize, and work on multiple projects simultaneously with great efficiency and attention to detail.
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to work in a team-based, fast-paced atmosphere with high standards for quality, accuracy, and innovation.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including some nights/weekend as needed.
  • Demonstrated capacity to develop & maintain effective working relationships with individuals & organizations reflecting a broad range of identities, perspectives & experiences.

Required Experience

Demonstrated video production expertise, including at least two years of experience in the following areas:

  • Project management of professional video production using project tracking software.
  • Professional digital asset management for video production and post-production.
  • Knowledge of Google collaboration tools (mail, calendar, drive).
  • Familiarity with music theory, music business, and music production technologies.
  • Proper operation of video cameras, lights, mics, audio, and camera support equipment.
  • Understanding of the entire creative process from ideation to distribution.
