Multiple positions available.  These instructor and/or visiting assistant professor positions are responsible for combining a practitioner’s perspective with solid academic foundations to a new introductory level course on Entrepreneurial Thinking and Innovation, ESP103. 

Duties

  • Responsible for teaching full load of introductory classes in entrepreneurship, creativity and innovation for the business core;
  • Office hours to work with students;   
  • Supporting update and revision of the course to keep it in line with changing entrepreneurial climate.

Ideal candidates have a true passion for entrepreneurship, creativity and innovation and a clear vision for the value of entrepreneurial studies within a liberal arts/business school curriculum.

 

Minimum Qualifications

(for Instructor)

  • BA degree in business or related discipline and seven years of experience in the private sector, preferably within an entrepreneurial company OR master’s degree in business or related discipline and five years of experience in the private sector, preferably within an entrepreneurial company;
  • College-level teaching experience or experience teaching professional seminars/workshops;
  • Practical experience in areas related to creativity and imagination in the context of entrepreneurship.   

(for Visiting Assistant Professor)

  • PhD degree in business or a related discipline;
  • College-level teaching experience or experience teaching professional seminars/workshops;
  • Expertise and practical experience in areas related to creativity and imagination in the context of entrepreneurship;   
  • Documented innovative entrepreneurship experience in launching a new product, start-up, service or organization (private sector or non-profit), or similar experience as an intrapreneur in an existing organization.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience teaching in human center design.
