The Washington State University Foundation seeks a dynamic, driven, seasoned data professional to serve in a critical role on the Advancement Records Team.
The position reports to the Advancement Records Team Leader.

This position is responsible for both the near tactical and long-term strategic data going into and out of WSU Foundation’s database system containing over 2,100 data elements, 500 of which are multiple-value fields. This position is responsible for the systems analysis, code review, design evaluation and implementations in support of business processes and fundraising objectives.

The incumbent will analyze, develop and maintain all data elements in the donor database and fill an important role that will define and implement new database coding as needed and/or delete or modify existing code based on approved data requirements; adding value and enhancing database systems to provide enhanced accurate results as part of data governance techniques and strategies. Data integration and business reporting strategies will be used when presenting data results.

The successful candidate will also actively participate in meetings with customers, executive leadership team members, deans and directors across WSU to ensure data reporting requirements are being met.

Required Qualifications

Positions require a Bachelor’s degree in a related field AND three (3) years of professional experience in business data analysis or related; OR a combination of education and experience totaling seven (7) years from which comparable knowledge and ability are acquired.

Preferred Qualifications

-Experience documenting reporting requirements and process and validate data components and aligning requirements with Foundation expectations.

-Experience training and assisting system users.

-Experience which demonstrates exceptional customer service skills.

-Experience developing, formatting, reviewing, analyzing and verifying the reports used by management or end users.

-Experience automating the reports development processes and delivery of automated reports.

-Experience in data cleansing, quality control processes.

-Experience in a higher education environment.

-Experience with Oracle database (11gR2 or higher).

-Experience with PL/SQL.

-Experience with SQL Server,Integration Services (SSIS) or any one of ETL tools.

-Proven experience with working Tabular and Dimensional Model architectures.

-Business Intelligence experience writing SQL to query dimensional models.

-Understanding of Data Warehousing Architecture and Database Design Principles.

-Experience in report development which include, dashboard, scorecards, using BI tools.

-Experience with SharePoint (2007 or higher).
