Detailed Job Description

Develops and administers broad-based programs for residential and distance learners through on-line deliveries, videotape, video-conferencing, correspondence study, and satellite.

Additional Department Summary:

This position provides the Innovation Team with technical knowledge and support for developing and implementing innovative content and approaches for online courses and programs. This position works closely with the Innovation Team Assistant Director, the ITAS Instructional Design Team, campus partners and faculty to collaborate on, develop and implement innovative elements in online courses and programs. The position will be involved at every stage of Innovation Team work, from research, to proposal, to development, to implementation and assessment.

Required Minimum Qualifications

A minimum of a bachelor's degree in instructional design, informational technology, education, communications, business, arts & science, or related field with five years of professional work experience in higher education, instructional technology, curriculum development, program management, or related field OR an approved combination of comparable education and experience in which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been attained. Excellent communication and human relation skills. Knowledge of distance learning technologies and teaching and training methodologies. Program and budgetary management skills. Basic computer usage knowledge including office application software in word processing, spreadsheet & database management. Acceptable equivalencies include: bachelor's degree in an unrelated field and 6 years of related experience; master's degree in a relevant field and 4 years of related experience; OR a Ph.D. in a relevant field of study.

Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications:

Valid U.S. driver's license required. Must be at least 21 years of age and have an acceptable motor vehicle report as determined by the insurance carrier.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with instructional design technologies. Experience with computer programming or software engineering. Experience with digital media production. 59 Monthly (exempt): - Minimum - $ 43887.96 Midpoint - $ 63648.00
