Visiting Assistant Professor (possible multiple positions) to teach professional writing courses including upper level courses in visual rhetoric, multimedia writing, print and digital editing, and grant and proposal writing
Teach professional writing courses including upper level courses in visual rhetoric, multimedia writing, print and digital editing, and grant and proposal writing.
The faculty member will be joining a strong cohort of faculty in professional writing in a department with a BA in Professional Writing and MA and PhD programs in rhetoric/composition. For more information, see www.miamioh.edu/english and www.miamioh.edu/pw.
Required: Ph.D in rhetoric, technical communication, professional writing, or appropriate related field by time of appointment; specialization in professional writing, technical communication, business communication, or related field, with teaching experience in professional and technical writing; experience with visual and digital media design, and/or digital writing.
Experience with community-based writing, game design/studies, multimodal rhetorics, data visualization, grant and proposal writing, and/or usability.
