This is a full-time instructor for a non-tenure-earning renewable appointment of up to three years for the Department of Psychology and Early College. There is an expectation for summer teaching for Early College for additional pay. The instructor will maintain appropriate office hours in the UA Early College suite.
The Department of Psychology at The University of Alabama expects to hire a full-time instructor for a non-tenure-earning renewable appointment of up to three years (annual renewal based upon satisfactory performance review, staffing needs, and funding).
Minimum qualifications: MA in Psychology or related field; experience in teaching undergraduate psychology courses.
Preferred qualifications: PhD in Psychology or related field; experience in teaching introduction to psychology, teaching online courses, and teaching or working with high school students; and strong skills using Blackboard or other online learning interface.
Prior to hiring, the final candidate(s) will be required to pass successfully a pre-employment background investigation, and submit official documentation of degree.
