Detailed Job Description

Teach classroom and studio courses in Multimedia using the latest version of industry standard software. Collaborate with art faculty in developing curriculum. Aid in assessment of program outcomes. Maintain office hours and advise students. Participate in college service activities. Contribute to the growth of the Art department.


Must have completed a Masters degree in Multimedia or related subject by May 2014. Demonstrated up-to-date, comprehensive software and technology experience and skills required. Portfolio or reel required if offered an interview. College teaching experience required.

Software & Skills Required:

Adobe Flash Animation
Adobe Dreamweaver CMS – Drupal and/or WordPress
Adobe Illustrator HTML5/CSS3
Adobe Photoshop Chroma Key experience
Apple Final Cut Pro Video/Sound creation and editing
Adobe After Effects 3D modeling/rendering
Apple Logic and/or Garage Band Interactive Media and Motion Graphics


Community college teaching experience. Relevant professional work experience in a Multimedia field preferred. Bilingual/bicultural preferred.


Salary: Anticipated starting salary range is $41,470.00 - $65,000.00 per academic year; complete fringe benefit package. Actual salary will be determined in accordance with classification determination of MCCC/MTA salary schedule commensurate with education and experience.
