Saint Louis University, a Catholic Jesuit institution dedicated to student learning, research, healthcare, and service, is seeking candidates for a Post-Doctoral Associate position in the Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences.
The successful applicant will work with a team of project scientists to develop and test short-term ensemble mesoscale prediction methods using real-time mesoscale initialization data and the WRF (Weather Research and Forecasting) model. As minimum requirements for the position, candidates must have earned a PhD degree in atmospheric science within the past 12 months, and have extensive experience with the WRF model and with the development of associated prediction verification metrics. This position is for one year, with the possibility of renewal after the initial term, subject to availability of funds.
