FULL-TIME FACULTY POSITION: INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY INSTRUCTOR: (Department of Computer Information Sciences, Division of Arts, Business, Communication & Technology) (MCCC/MTA Unit Position) Anticipated Start Date: September, 2013 Position contingent on available funding.
Our primary objective for the position is someone to teach the middle and upper level IT courses. The expected growth areas are in IT generally and security and networks specifically. The candidate would be expected to participate in curriculum and on-line course development, participate in college service including grant development, program review, committee work and academic advising.
Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related subject is required. Applicants must be able to demonstrate college level teaching experience in IT or related fields. Interpersonal skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to integrate collaborative learning and appropriate technology into teaching strategies are expected.
Preference will be given to someone who has demonstrated ability to teach Computer Science and IT courses including Operating Systems, Computer Security and Forensics, Web Development and Networks. Additional areas of expertise would be welcome. Bilingual/bicultural preferred
Salary: Anticipated starting salary range is $41,470.00 - $65,000.00 per academic year; complete fringe benefit package. Actual salary will be determined in accordance with classification determination of MCCC/MTA salary schedule commensurate with education and experience.
