Description of Position: Integration and Training Coordinator (100%) assigned to the Southern Illinois University Carbondale in the Department of Workforce Education and Development's Center for Workforce Development in Chicago, IL. This is a term, Administrative/Professional appointment to begin as soon as possible. This position is contingent on available funding.
Responsibility: The primary functions are to oversee, develop, and implement resources, processes and strategies to be used by Local Workforce Investment Boards and Areas and their partners to implement/integrate workforce and career development web and mobile applications in their day-to-day reporting; assist programming staff in designing and implementing online resources and processes for supporting a high level of local integration and implementation; provide online training including Certified Illinois workNet Advisor Course, annual refresher course, modules and units related to workforce development; supervise staff and consultants and others as needed; oversee reporting and evaluation related to integration and training; work with the Statewide Content Manager to assure that workforce and career development web and mobile applications meet the needs of LWIBs, LWIAs and their customers; develop and provide presentations; work with advisory groups, partner agencies, and organizations to impact program development.
Qualifications: Required: Master's Degree in Workforce Education or related field; a minimum of five years experience in managing statewide programs with an emphasis on training and web-based resource development; and documented experience demonstrating highly-developed organizational and presentation skills. Preferred: experience and expertise in Microsoft Office Suite programs, specifically in development of complex reports from databases and written/verbal communication skills.
