The Department of Pharmacy is seeking to hire an Assistant Professor specializing in the area of Biostatistics. In addition to developing an externally funded research program, this individual will be responsible for teaching courses across the curricula of the College of Pharmacy, the Department of Computer Science and Statistics, and the interdisciplinary Health Studies undergraduate major. This position is part of the University’s initiative to hire a cluster of eight tenure-track faculty members who will apply or develop data- and computation-intensive methodology and systems across the University through interdisciplinary research and teaching. The Assistant Professor of Biostatistics will contribute to the University’s Academic Health Collaborative, supporting faculty and students in advancing the University’s teaching, research and service activities across health-related disciplines. Other responsibilities of this position include mentoring graduate students, engaging in service activities within the College/University and community, and participating in departmental governance and service.
