This position strategically supports the Office of the President, the Chief of Staff, and other University executives and prepares executive meetings for all campus senior leadership. Supports and provides institutional perspective in facilitating communication within the President’s office. Supports research and preparation of university presentations for communication and marketing purposes. Monitors, manages, and prepares department and project budgets, keeping the President apprised of budgetary status. Serves as liaison with committees that plan events involving the office of the president. Supports presidential internship program.
Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor’s degree plus three to five years of related experience OR an equivalent combination of education and/or experience related to the Summary of Duties totaling at least seven years.
Master’s degree preferred
Knowledge of institutional policies, procedures, and operations.
Possesses a critical eye for both form and function.
Knowledge in working with executive management.
Knowledge of project-based assignments with skills in meeting deadlines.
High level administrative, interpersonal, and organizational skills required.
Superior writing, composition, English grammar and proofreading skills in creating business correspondence.
Skills in multitasking, prioritizing, adapting to change, and working well under pressure.
Ability to plan, organize and make independent decisions reflecting a high level of judgment.
Ability to oversee and manage highly prioritized projects.
Ability to successfully interact with people of diverse backgrounds in a variety of situations.
Ability to perform complex office operations using various software applications.
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing;
Ability to interpret inquiries and problems and direct to proper resources.
Ability to coordinate, prepare and monitor departmental financial transactions.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of highly sensitive information.
Ability to perform duties with little or no supervision.
