Detailed Job Description

The Assistant University Registrar provides leadership in the Office of the University Registrar in its administrative management and supervises an assigned area of responsibility.

Additional Department Summary:

This position will have primary responsibility for degree processing, maintenance of the University degree audit system, and planning of the University commencement exercises. The position will be involved in the maintenance, testing and upgrades of all technology used in the support of processes related to the primary responsibilities. The position will be a liaison for the OUR to all campus constituents and will work closely with the colleges, departments, academic advisors and administrators to support their needs and maintain the effectiveness and efficiency of all processes. This position will provide ongoing training for all campus constituents on technology used by the OUR with respect to degree audit, graduation/commencement, and related academic history/records.

Required Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and a minimum of three years of work experience in higher education, business or other relevant work experience; OR Master's degree and a minimum of one year of work experience in higher education, business or other relevant work experience.

Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications:

Valid U.S. driver's license required. Must be at least 21 years of age and have an acceptable motor vehicle report as determined by the insurance carrier.

Strong project management skills. Excellent organizational and planning skills. Ability to make decisions based on careful analysis and thoughtful judgments. Ability to think creatively in order to develop and apply innovative solutions to problems or situations. Superior oral and written communications skills. Strong interpersonal skills. Customer service orientation philosophy. Competency in the use of personal computers including word processing and spreadsheet applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

One year of management/supervisory work experience. Experience in a major academic institutional setting. 59 Monthly (exempt): - Minimum - $ 43887.96 Midpoint - $ 63648.00
