Coordinate recruitment and selection process including, preparing and placing job postings, approving invoices, screening applicants, coordinating and conducting interviews, conducting reference and background checks, make verbal offers, preparing offer letters within established time frames.

Monitor and review departmental adherence to recruitment/selection policies and procedures, establish and routinely review best practices in recruitment, maintain job descriptions, coordinate temporary labor arrangements, maintain up-to-date knowledge of current legal requirements and government regulations affecting the recruitment function and ensure college compliance.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) required.

Master’s degree.

HRCI certification

Expertise with integrated HR/Payroll systems is important and experience and ADP payroll and ADP HRB is preferred

Minimum of 3 years of HR experience with recruiting experience Ability to successfully recruit new employees at all levels within a College setting. Ability to handle a high volume of phone calls and walk-in appointments Ability to provide an exceptionally high level of quality customer service. Effective oral and written communication skills

Ability to work with a diverse group of applicants, various departments, faculty, staff, and external constituents.

Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.

Ability to gather information and provide out quickly and skillfully

"Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, database software, and ability to navigate the Internet."

Strong organizational skills and able to manage multiple tasks in a timely manner

Ability to create and maintain strong working relationships at all levels of the institution

Strong attention to detail

Ability to work well under pressure, work well with frequent interruptions, and to meet deadlines.

Ability to make oral presentations and represent HR to the campus community.

Essential Functions

M* Coordinate recruitment and selection process including, preparing and placing job postings, approving invoices, screening applicants, coordinating and conducting interviews, conducting reference and background checks, make verbal offers, preparing offer letters within established time frames, and orienting new employees including new hire paperwork. * Monitor and review departmental adherence to recruitment/selection policies and procedures, establish and routinely review best practices in recruitment, maintain job descriptions, coordinate temporary labor arrangements, maintain up-to-date knowledge of current legal requirements and government regulations affecting the recruitment function and ensure college compliance. * Prepare, organize and lead New Hire Orientation and other College-wide training as appropriate. * Coordinate adjunct contract process including updates to spreadsheets, adhering to timelines, mail merging contracts, following up with deans, and with applicants, new hire paperwork and orientations * Assists with other departmental projects as requested. * Participate in College-wide meetings and projects. * Prepare reports as necessary to support the strategic direction of the department.
