The Academic Coordinator/Advisor will provide academic advisement to current undergraduate and graduate students for the College of Nursing programs at Washington State University Tri-Cities.
Duties include but are not limited to: academic advising, coordination of recruitment/retention efforts, responding to program inquiries, interpretation and verification of departmental and university requirements, representation of College of Nursing by building relationships with local hospitals, colleges and high schools and providing program support to the Nursing Academic Director.
Positions require a Bachelor’s degree and three (3) years of academic advising experience or related experience. Experience leading or directing the work of others. A Master’s degree in a related field may substitute for one (1) year of professional work experience. Any combination of relevant education and professional experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year‐for‐year basis.
Demonstrated knowledge of general education courses and requirements of WSU academic programs.
Knowledge of academic transfer programs.
Experience working with a diverse student population.
Experience in making public presentations to diverse groups of individuals.
