Pomona College is looking for an Engagement Analysis & Process Manager to oversee, coordinate and facilitate the Office of Alumni & Parent Engagement’s use of complex information systems and data-related tools. Areas of focus include data management, business intelligence and reporting and the development of project management systems for use across the office. This work is accomplished in collaboration with Advancement division colleagues as well as other colleagues across the College. The Engagement Analysis and Process Manager provide counsel to the Assistant Vice President for Advancement, Alumni and Parent Engagement as needed on matters of overall program strategy and operations. This position supervises one Coordinator and may be responsible for supervising one or more student employees.
Bachelor’s degree in information systems or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.A valid drivers’ license is required or equivalent means of reliable transportation to off-site meetings and events. A minimum of 3 years of information systems experience is required. A minimum of 2 years’ experience at an academic institution is preferred.Deploy professional skills in collaboration with colleagues, to best promote the College’s strategic interests. Must have an understanding of the principles and techniques relevant to information systems, including data management and analysis and systems design. Able to supervise professional and student workers, including hiring, training, assigning and monitoring workload and evaluating performance. Must understand the mission of the College’s liberal arts environment. Demonstrate effective, accurate and clear communication with excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and reading, phone, and customer service skills. Follow all written and verbal instructions, asking questions as needed for clarification of projects/tasks/duties/assignments. Operate computers with high proficiency in Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge, Microsoft Excel and associated professional software. Proficiency in Blackbaud Net Community, reporting applications such as Cognos, and student calling software such as Campus Call is preferred. Routine use Internet research is expected. Use assigned technology/devices/equipment to achieve annual goals and maintain confidentiality. Handle all activities and highly confidential information with patience, discretion, good judgment, courtesy and tact while working with people from a wide variety of backgrounds, including designers, writers, and editors. Prioritize and perform multiple projects/tasks, handle changing priorities, meet deadlines/timelines, proactively respond to others in a consistent and timely manner and work both independently and as a collaborative member of the College with a high standard of integrity and ethics, in support of the College’s strategic vision and the department’s annual goals.
REQUIRED HOURS: The regular hours for this full time position are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday – Friday. Overtime, holiday, weekend and evening work hours may be required. Regular hours may vary due to needs of the College or division.
