Global Initiatives seeks a creative and tech savvy Marketing & Communication Manager/Web Specialist to manage internal and external communications for the five academic support units in Global Initiatives (GLI) in collaboration with staff and stakeholders.  

Duties

Support units include Education Abroad, International Student and Scholar Services, the Center for American and World Cultures, the Confucius Institute, and Continuing Education. Develop and execute strategic communication plan for internal and external audiences to promote and market GLI opportunities, programs and services resulting in increased enrollments and brand visibility; design, deliver, and assess effectiveness of print materials; efficiently manage and assess websites, social media, and electronic communication; supervise and train team of student employees and interns; serve as GLI liaison with University Communications and Marketing and ensure GLI communications align with university brand standards and policies. 

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree; demonstrated ability to: edit print and electronic documents for accuracy, length, style, and consistency; manage (create, edit, monitor) multiple websites and provide web support to GLI offices; use and develop expertise in relevant, progressive, and multi-media information design and visualization technologies; work collaboratively and cooperatively with diverse stakeholders; maintain a high level of productivity in fast-paced, deadline driven, multi-functional environment. 

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree in relevant field; or three years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and expertise; experience in higher education or international education; advanced knowledge of website content management systems, design and video software, search engine optimization, and social media outlets.
