Detailed Job Description

Teach undergraduate courses in Communication & Technology and contribute to College graduate and research emphases in Communication, Technology, and Society; Media and Health Promotion through graduate teaching, scholarship, and grants. Pursue a research agenda in communication technology in health interventions with an emphasis on the role of e-technologies and human-computer interactions; collaborate with interdisciplinary research groups and centers across campus; interact with the professional community, where appropriate, and other outside constituents.

Required Qualifications

An earned PhD in Communication or a related area before a job offer is extended. Evidence of successful teaching and potential for a productive research agenda in interactions between e-technologies and human influence including especially as relevant to health interventions. Demonstrated ability to teach core classes in the Communication Technology and Public Relations areas within the college including especially mobile media, interface design, and web design and usability.

Preferred Qualifications

Preference will be given to candidates with a strong emphasis in e-technologies and their role in health interventions, ability to teach mobile media, interface design, and web design and usability, and demonstrated success or potential in securing grants.

Commensurate with qualifications and experience
