Instructor or Visiting Assistant Professor (possible multiple positions) to teach introductory composition for multilingual students, introductory to advanced classes in Linguistics, and courses for a graduate certificate in Adult TESOL.  

Duties

Teach introductory composition for multilingual students, introductory to advanced classes in Linguistics, and courses for a graduate certificate in Adult TESOL. The successful applicant will join a strong cohort of faculty in Composition and Rhetoric, ESL, and Linguistics in a department that offers an undergraduate major and minor in Linguistics and both the MA and the PhD in rhetoric/composition.

Minimum Qualifications

Required: PhD by time of appointment (for appointment as Visiting Assistant Professor), ABD (for appointment as Instructor); specialization in Applied Linguistics and TESOL; knowledge of research in Applied Linguistics and ESL theory and practice; and college-level experience teaching ESL composition and linguistics courses.
