Detailed Job Description

The administrative credential is for P-14 School Administrators who seek a preliminary credential and/or clear administrative credential. The College of Education and Organization Leadership collaborates with urban P-14 districts to provide a model of collaborate urban educational excellence. We prepare leaders who are passionate and knowledgeable about helping students reach their full potential while making school environments inclusive and responsive education environments. The college is accredited by CAEP and CTC.

Specific Duties

1.Maintain oversight of visionary implementation and day-to-day operations of the administrative credential program and Master of School Leadership Program.
3.Maintain oversight of state credentialing (CTC) and accreditation (CAEP)acrequirements
4.Develop and maintain relationships with PK-14 districts
5.Oversight of Regional and Online Campus cohorts with responsibility for academic quality.
6.Teach courses in the credentialing program
7. Serve on college and university committees
8. Have established research agenda

Minimum Qualifications

1.Earned Doctorate in Educational Leadership or a closely related field of study from an accredited university
2.Evidence of understanding urban education and commitment to the preparation of educational leaders to meet the needs of culturally and linguistically diverse populations
3.Three years experience as a site-based public school PK-14 leader (i.e. principal, assistant principal, director or equivalent
4. Administrative Credential
5.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with strong leadership capabilities
6. Knowledge of current pedagogy and significant skill in teaching in an online environment

Preferred Qualifications

1.Higher education experience
2.Experience in urban educational and/or
linguistically diverse context
3.Experience in Urban educational settings
4. Current knowledge of teacher preparation and related programs in California
