Under the direction of the leadership of Financial Aid and Scholarships Office, processes operational financial aid reports. Counsels students, parents, and others regarding various financial aid matters. Evaluates student financial aid files and makes adjustments and recalculations on financial aid files. Ensures a high standard of accuracy and compliance in awarding aid to students.
Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor’s degree in a directly related field of study or a combination of education and experience totaling four years.
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelors degree in Business Management or Behavioral Science or related field plus two years of experience related to the Summary of Duties or any combination of education and/or experience related to the Summary of Duties totaling six years.
Knowledge of federal, state, and institutional policies, procedures, regulations pertaining to financial aid including needs analysis and eligibility assessment, packaging strategies, academic progress, and use of Title IV funds.
Knowledge of Banner Financial Aid.
Organizational, multi-tasking, and problem resolution skills.
Skills in listening to customers (e.g. students, staff, management, etc.) and responding proactively to their requests.
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with employees and students and parents in a professional manner.
Ability to effectively prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
Ability to make presentations and train staff members.
Ability to organize and meet deadlines in fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
Ability to research answers and resolve problems.
Ability to gain and maintain access to federal student aid databases.
