The successful candidate will be expected to teach and supervise an applied oboe studio of undergraduate and graduate students. In addition to the applied teaching, the successful candidate will teach sections of MUS 121 Introduction to Listening.
The School of Music at the University of Alabama invites applications for a full-time temporary Instructor of Applied Oboe. This position is a non-tenure earning, 1-year appointment.
The successful candidate will teach and supervise an applied oboe studio of undergraduate and graduate students, including weekly lessons and weekly studio class. In addition to the applied teaching, the successful candidate will teach sections of MUS 121 Introduction to Listening courses in the College of Arts and Sciences. Chamber music coaching and large ensemble sectionals are additional expectations for the successful candidate. A Masters degree and evidence of professional artistic activity is required.
