Under the general direction of the Director, this position performs and/or oversees a variety of associated administrative, fiscal, staff support, and planning activities, some of which require advanced or specialized knowledge and skills, such as budget administration and facilities, and inventory management, specialized record keeping and database management, and/or specified information-gathering projects and tasks. Coordinates and facilitates meetings, program functions, and/or special events, as appropriate. Trains and oversees lower graded staff and/or students.
Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor’s related to the Summary of Duties or any combination of education and/or experience totaling four years.
Knowledge of best practices in office support and technology.
Skills in office methods, techniques, practices and procedures.
Skills in the use of computers an d computer software applications including word processing, spreadsheets, email, internet, databases, and presentations.
Skills in the preparation and interpretation of reports, charts, graphs, and tables.
Strong interpersonal, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Exceptional customer service orientation and phone etiquette.
Skills in effective communication both verbal and written.
Skills in meeting and working with people of diverse backgrounds.
Ability to plan and anticipate potential changes and act accordingly.
