Completes the necessary daily electronic communications between the Department of Education and the Financial Aid and Scholarships Office through the detailed uploading, extracting, and running of Banner Financial Aid processes. Uses various financial aid and Department of Education systems including the financial aid application, correction record load process, transmission of applications, Pell Grant origination/disbursement and transfer monitoring data, etc. Supports all ongoing testing of Banner Financial Aid and other programs. Maintains compliance with Department of Education ISIR records, student eligibility, awarding, and disbursing.
Graduation from an accredited institution with an associate’s degree in a related field plus two years of related experience OR a combination of relevant experience and education totaling four years.
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in Business Management or Behavioral Science or related field, plus two years of experience related to the Summary of Duties, or any combination of education and/or experience related to the Summary of Duties totaling six years.
Knowledge of federal regulations pertaining to financial aid.
Basic SQL knowledge.
Knowledge of Banner Financial Aid preferred.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Superior organizational, multitasking, and problem resolution skills.
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with employees, students and parents in a professional manner.
Ability to effectively prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
Ability to make presentations and train staff members.
Ability to organize and meet deadlines in fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
