Advises new, prospective, and transfer students in all aspects of business management. Helps students develop an educational plan toward graduation. Emphasis is placed on managing an advising caseload toward greater retention.
Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor’s degree plus two years of experience related to Summary of Duties totaling six years.
Knowledge of processes for student development.
Knowledge of student advising and teaching laws and techniques.
Skills in the use of microcomputers, computer terminals, and academic and office software platforms (BANNER) as applied to management of student records, report preparation, and related activities.
Ability to assist students develop effective academic plans.
Ability to creatively and independently solve problems by prioritizing and multitasking.
Ability to serve individuals with diverse personalities.
Ability to work in a team environment.
