Detailed Job Description

Responsibilities include teaching three undergraduate courses each semester in comparative politics, including our introductory course, International Politics and upper level courses in the candidate’s area of specialization. The Department will consider applicants in any area specialization or country/region with the exception of European Politics. The Department is particularly interested in candidates who can offer a course on Research Methods and who have an interest in Peace and Conflict studies.

The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. or be late stage ABD in Political Science or related field with teaching experience and evidence of scholarly promise. The position includes generous faculty development funds for the support of research and professional travel.

Candidates should submit a curriculum vita; a letter outlining areas of teaching interests, teaching philosophy, and research projects and plans; evidence of teaching and scholarly effectiveness; three letters of recommendation.
