Job Summary

The Department of World Languages and Literatures invites applications for a two-year full-time renewable position at the level of Visiting Assistant Professor (Ph.D) or Lecturer (ABD) in the field of German Literature and Culture to begin the fall of 2016. Candidates from historically under-representatives are encouraged to apply. Skidmore seeks candidates who can contribute to the excellence and diversity of community through their teaching and service. We are looking for a gifted teacher with demonstrated excellence in language teaching who will enthusiastically contribute to the major program and co-curricular activities. Native or near-native fluency in German is required. The area of specialization is open, but the ability to teach cinema or interdisciplinary studies is especially welcome.
