Position/Rank: Researcher II - Environmental/Analytical Chemistry, term appointment in the Center for Fisheries, Aquaculture and Aquatic Sciences at Southern Illinois University Carbondale.
Location: Southern Illinois University Carbondale, Center for Fisheries, Aquaculture and Aquatic Sciences, Carbondale, IL (http://www.aquatictox.siu.edu)
Responsibilities: Prepares field-collected samples for extraction and cleanup, quantifies extracts using GC-ECD, GC-MS and LC techniques, maintains the analytical equipment and orders supplies.
Qualifications: Minimum of a Bachelor's of Science degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or Environmental Toxicology. Applicant must have formal analytical instrumentation and data analysis training, including quality assurance/quality control procedures and good laboratory practices, and have good technical writing skills. Preference will be given to applicants with training on Agilent equipment and have obtained a Master's of Science degree.
Salary: Commensurate with experience (100% time) and includes full benefits.
