Enrollment Management and Student Success is hiring two Assistant/Senior Assistant Director of Communication to plan, manage, and execute an integrated and comprehensive communication plan using varying media.

Duties

On behalf of the Division of Enrollment Management and Student Success (EMSS) and Office of Admission, the Assistant/Senior Assistant Director of Communication will plan, manage, and execute an integrated and comprehensive communication plan using varying media, including but not limited to email, paper, web, and social media for prospective undergraduate students, parents, and other targeted audiences at all stages of the recruitment, admission, and yield process; plan, manage, and execute various strategic communication plans for current students and parents for various offices within EMSS, including Admission, Bursar, Career Services, Enrollment Operations and One Stop Student Services, Office of the Vice President, Student Success Center, Student Financial Assistance, and University Registrar; ensure communication workflows are monitored and adjusted as needed based on client and audience needs; develop and manage budget related to all communication plans; examine cost and ROI; identify areas for possible cost savings; provide prospective student data to admission personnel, mail centers, academic divisions and other offices as needed for all related communication plans; serve as the liaison to University Communications and Marketing (UCM) for specific communication plans to ensure projects are developed and executed to meet the clients' needs; monitor and benchmark other university communication and market strategies for messaging ideas, best practices, design concepts and creative approaches to communication with target audiences; other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Assistant Director: Bachelor's degree; at least one year of full-time, professional experience working in college admission, higher education marketing and/or marketing/sales organization or company; Master's degree will be considered in lieu of year of experience; ability to work independently with minimum direction and strict adherence to deadlines while handling multiple tasks simultaneously; knowledge of recruitment strategies and/or marketing and communication strategies; experience in integrating technology as part of a larger marketing strategy; ability to work collaboratively with various internal and external constituencies; demonstrated commitment to the highest standards of accuracy, attention to detail, and handling of confidential information; excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills; demonstrated knowledge and experience with various software, design, and web applications.

Senior Assistant Director: Bachelor's degree; at least three years of full-time, professional experience working in college admission, higher education marketing and/or marketing/sales organization or company; Master's degree will be considered in lieu of years of experience; ability to work independently with minimum direction and strict adherence to deadlines while handling multiple tasks simultaneously; knowledge of recruitment strategies and/or marketing and communication strategies; experience in integrating technology as part of a larger marketing strategy; ability to work collaboratively with various internal and external constituencies; demonstrated commitment to the highest standards of accuracy, attention to detail, and handling of confidential information; excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills; demonstrated knowledge and experience with various software, design, and web applications.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications: Master's Degree; experience with CRM software and other relational databases; familiarity with direct mail processes and postal regulations.
