The position has two primary roles. The instructor role encompasses teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in marketing to include international business classes which are housed in marketing (e.g., Introduction to World Business, Export/Import Management). The normal teaching load will be four classes per semester. The Associate Director of International Business role encompasses working in conjunction with the Director on initiatives ranging from study abroad, experiential learning project development and management, and international internships. In addition, the Associate Director will take a lead role in corporate partner engagement and program marketing.

The Culverhouse College of Commerce at the University of Alabama invites applications for a non-tenure earning three-year renewable position in Marketing effective August 16, 2016. Salary is competitive.
Minimum qualifications: A Master’s degree in business or closely related field is required as is experience relating to international business. Experience teaching international business at the college level is also required.
Specialized training in marketing and international business is highly desirable. Candidates should exhibit (a) strong team and project-management skills, (b) a desire and ability to utilize their experience and connections to build experiential learning opportunities for our students, and (c ) a willingness and ability to work with the International Business Program Director to achieve mutually agreed upon goals and objectives related to building and sustaining a strong International Business Program.
This is a non-tenure earning position renewable for three-year periods at the discretion of the University with no expectation of continued employment beyond any three-year contract period. Continuation of this appointment to its scheduled termination date is dependent upon meeting the department and college performance standards and compliance with all policies in the faculty handbook and general UA employment policies.
