Detailed Job Description

The position is charged with developing the structure and flow of Academic Outreach and Innovation’s (AOI) WordPress websites with a focus on the user’s overall experience and the organization’s business goals.

This position is responsible for front-end web development using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript and serves as web project manager working collaboratively with others on the AOI web team, including content owners, graphic designers, accessibility manager, web application developers, and others to design and build an intuitive and highly functional web presence.

Required Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree in information science or related field and three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in web site design, development and maintenance. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.

Preferred Qualifications

-Three (3) years of professional level experience in front-end web development using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

-Experience with responsive web page layouts and behavior.

-Experience troubleshooting page layout and display differences across multiple browsers and platforms.

-Experience which demonstrates the ability to coordinate, manage, and execute the online presence for a large and diverse organization.
