The Assistant Director of Corporate & Foundation Relations will advance the mission of Miami University by planning, organizing and implementing strategies to secure corporate and foundation support for Miami University programs, primarily in support of divisional priorities across campus.



Duties

The Assistant Director of Corporate & Foundation Relations will advance the mission of Miami University by planning, organizing and implementing strategies to secure corporate and foundation support for Miami University programs, primarily in support of divisional priorities across campus.

This position reports to the Director of Corporate & Foundation Relations and works collaboratively with other divisional staff members, deans, department chairs, faculty and other campus administrators to determine priority programs and funding needs and appropriate strategies for developing financial support from corporations and foundations.  

Assist in identifying, cultivating, soliciting and stewarding corporations and foundation to provide financial support for priority projects and programs of Miami University.

Manage a portfolio of approximately 125 corporate and foundation prospects.

Conduct appropriate research to evaluate potential matches, and identify, track and collaborate with Corporate & Foundation relations staff, OARS, Career Service and other university administration and faculty in a systematic way about key corporate and foundation contacts. Perform other duties related to the mission of the Office of Development under the guidance of the Senior Director of Development, Central Programs and the Senior Associate Vice President for University Advancement.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree; minimum of one to three years of fundraising or comparable professional work experience; outstanding oral and written communication skills; ability to interact effectively with internal and external constituents; excellent organizational skills and attention to detail; a familiarity with word processing and spreadsheets; willingness to travel on both a regional and national level. (Internships, volunteer work, and other experience gained during the completion of degree programs may be counted towards these requirements.)
