Clinical Assistant Professor of Clinical Microbiology
The Biomedical Science Program in the Department of Molecular, Cellular and Biomedical Sciences at the University of New Hampshire invites applications for a three-year, benefits-eligible, renewable, non-tenure-track Clinical Assistant professor position to commence August, 2016. The primary responsibilities include clinically related undergraduate teaching for the Medical Laboratory Science program in the areas of clinical microbiology, virology, parasitology, mycology, laboratory management, and additional courses relevant to the mission of the Biomedical Science curriculum. Clinical responsibilities include training and supervising students and coordinating student clinical internship experiences in the area of microbiology. Other responsibilities include academic advising of students and participation in the periodic accreditation process of the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences.
Minimum qualifications include certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist/Medical Technologist (ASCP or equivalent), a Masters or Ph.D. degree, 3 years employment or teaching experience in the area of clinical microbiology, and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with diverse communities.
