The Department of Consumer Sciences at the University of Alabama is seeking dynamic applicants for an Assistant Professor position (Non-Tenured). The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate courses online and on campus.
The department offers a Master’s degree in General Human Environmental Sciences with a specialization in Interactive Technology focused on computer-mediated communications and leadership in digital environments.
•Teaching and service activities appropriate for the program, college and University.
•Perform a major curriculum review and revise the on campus and online courses.
•Serve on departmental, college, and university committees
Minimum Qualifications: Ph.D. or Ed.D. from a nationally accredited institution in Technology Leadership, Computer Technology Integration, or related field.
• Experience in teaching both online and on campus in undergraduate and graduate classes using a Learning Management System (LMS) as the platform
• Strong knowledge of the use of interactive media development tools
• Ability to work as part of a team
This position is a non tenure earning renewable three year contract. It is renewable each year based on performance, need, and funding availability.
