Detailed Job Description

The Center for the Advancement of Leadership (CAL) Assistant Director works under the direction of the director for overall management, direction, and success of the Center’s student leadership development programs. As the primary voice and leader of these programs, the assistant director engages in leadership programming that is collaborative with a wide range of UVU departments.

Minimum Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in a directly related field and two years experience related to the Summary of Duties or a combination of education and/or experience totaling six years.

Preferred Qualifications

Masters degree.
Official experience in leadership training, research, development, etc.


Knowledge of leadership theory.

Knowledge of professional leadership development.

Knowledge of student program management.


Skills in training and development.

Supervisory and management skills.
