Detailed Job Description

The C&BA Internship Coordinator will promote internship opportunities to Culverhouse students, increasing the number of students interning, whether for academic credit or work experience that supports their academic study.

Additional Department Summary:

The coordinator will work with Career Services to assist in preparing students for their internship search. In addition the internship coordinator will develop new relationships and maintain current relationships with employers, for the purpose of providing internships for students, which ultimately will result in achieving the colleges' first destination goals.

Required Minimum Qualifications

A bachelor's degree and a minimum of two years of work experience; OR a master's degree and some related experience.

Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications:

Must have valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 21 years of age and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report as determined by the insurance carrier.

Skills and Knowledge:

Knowledge of current employment trends within each major and within the various industries; Effective communication skills with students, alumni, faculty, and employers; Professional demeanor required as individual will work closely with many individuals, including but not limited to, top executives and executive staffs from local and national business institutions; Knowledge of positive public relations skills in interactions with all constituents; Creative thinking skills to publicize internships and services provided by the Career Center at Culverhouse; Ability to work autonomously, handling multiple project, activities, and tasks; Problem solving skills, leadership skills and flexibility on a daily basis in order to work in an environment that lends itself to interruptions and changes in schedule.

Preferred Qualifications:

Three years relevant experience in career services, human resources management or staffing services, or related field. 57 Monthly (exempt): - Minimum - $ 32614.44 Midpoint - $ 47299.20
